The terms on which DailyFoxglove provides guided seasonal walks and the use of this website. Please read them before booking. Last updated 1 January 2026.

By booking a walk, using this website, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are booking on behalf of others, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for every member of your party. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

DailyFoxglove organises and leads guided nature walks through gardens, riverbanks and mountain trails in and around Tokyo. Each walk is described on our website with an indicative route, duration, difficulty and seasonal window. Routes are planned to show each landscape at its best and may be adjusted on the day in response to weather, trail conditions or the welfare of the group.

A booking is made when you complete our booking process and receive a written confirmation from us. Until you receive that confirmation, your place is not secured. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking where a walk is full, where the details provided are incomplete, or where we reasonably believe the walk is unsuitable for a participant.

Prices for each walk are shown at the time of booking and are stated in Japanese yen. Payment is due in full at the time of booking unless we agree otherwise in writing. We may change our published prices from time to time, but a confirmed booking will be honoured at the price shown when it was made. You are responsible for any bank or transaction fees applied by your payment provider.

If you need to change or cancel a booking, please contact us as early as possible. Cancellations made at least seven days before the walk are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made between seven days and forty-eight hours before receive a partial refund. Within forty-eight hours of the walk, the fee is non-refundable, though we will always try to transfer your place to a later date where we reasonably can.

Because our walks depend on weather and natural conditions, we may need to reschedule, shorten or cancel a walk for safety. Where we cancel a walk, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date. We are not responsible for incidental costs you incur, such as travel or accommodation, arising from a change or cancellation beyond our reasonable control.

Our walks take place outdoors on natural terrain. You are responsible for arriving with suitable footwear and clothing, for disclosing any medical or mobility condition that may affect your participation, and for following the reasonable instructions of your guide. You take part in the knowledge that walking involves inherent risks, and you agree to walk within your own capability.

Your guide may ask a participant to leave a walk where their conduct endangers themselves or others, or where they are unable to continue safely. No refund is due in such cases. We ask all participants to respect the places we visit, to stay on permitted paths, to keep noise low where quiet is asked, and to carry out all litter.

Participants under eighteen are welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult who remains with them throughout the walk. The adult booking a group is responsible for the conduct and welfare of each minor in their party. We may set age or fitness guidance for particular routes and will indicate this in the walk description.

All content on this website, including route descriptions, photographs, text and the DailyFoxglove name, is owned by us or used with permission and is protected by applicable law. You may view and share our content for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not reproduce, adapt or distribute it for commercial purposes without our written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with a walk is limited to the price you paid for that walk. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. We are not liable for loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and any dispute arising from them or from our services is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tokyo. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
